Alabama's summer enrollees from its highly regarded 2026 recruiting class are now on campus and listed on the team's official roster.
But with those enrollees came the surprising addition of a player who had not yet been reported as a member of the team.
JUCO LB Bubba Odom, who has made stops at Northern Arizona and Last Chance U's East Mississippi Community College, was added to the Crimson Tide's roster on Sunday:

A transfer from East Miss. C.C., Odom is a native of Jasper, Ala., a senior and 6-foot-4, 235 pounds.

Odom is originally from Jasper and is listed as a senior. With the updated five-for-five rules, Odom should have two years of eligibility remaining.
Alabama adds EDGE depth with JUCO LB Bubba Odom
Listed as a LB, the expectation is that Odom will add depth to Alabama's Wolf LB room. That was one of the positions that felt the thinnest coming out of spring practice.
Alabama returned both Yhonzae Pierre and Justin Hill from last season and added South Carolina transfer Desmond Umeozulu along with 5-star freshman Xavier Griffin, who should make immediate impacts.
Umeozulu could play some at the Bandit DE spot, though, and Griffin is considered a bit of a Swiss army knife in that he can play both on- and off-the-ball for the Crimson Tide. He figures to get the bulk of his reps rushing the passer, however, to take advantage of his best skill.
Alabama also has a seventh-year senior in Jah-Marien Latham, who provides a bigger edge in certain packages, but he's battled a lot of injuries throughout his career, so it remains to be seen what Kalen DeBoer and company can get out of the veteran.

While Odom isn't likely to compete for a starting spot or play a significant role, he is an experienced piece of depth. You can never have enough depth, especially with the increased scholarship limits up to 105; he's more than worth a flier with an open roster spot.
Odom has an intriguing skill set and could carve out a role, as Miller stated, particularly on earlier downs. In Kane Wommack's defensive system, the Bandit and Wolf can be interchangeable, so Odom could see playing time split between the two spots.
SEC Media Days is on top this week, and then we are only a couple of weeks away from the start of fall camp as Alabama ramps up toward the 2026 season.
