Alabama just landed its third offensive line commitment in the Transfer Portal, adding some much-needed depth and competition to its interior offensive line.
Cal Poly transfer center Racin Delgatty (6-foot-4, 300 pounds) committed to the Crimson Tide on Friday night, joining Michigan transfers Kaden Strayhorn and Ty Haywood as offensive linemen in Alabama's Transfer Portal class.

Alabama's offensive line has undergone a much-needed overhaul so far this offseason. Along with Kadyn Proctor and Parker Brailsford going pro early - and several others exhausting their eligibility - Alabama has also seen six offensive linemen leave via the Transfer Portal.
Both Strayhorn and Haywood are talented prospects, but Delgatty will bring some real playing experience with him to Tuscaloosa, albeit at the FCS level.
Cal Poly OL Racin Delgatty committed to Alabama
Delgatty is an impressive prospect. He's got the size and movement ability that Kalen DeBoer and this staff have shown to covet. He was a second-team All Big Sky performer at center this past season for Cal Poly.
Over the past two seasons, Delgatty has allowed just one sack, two QB hits, and 14 pressures across 785 pass blocking snaps. That's music to this staff's ears, and a godsend for a new starting QB in either Keelon Russell or Austin Mack.

Don't let the school he played for fool you. Delgatty was highly sought after in the portal, taking visits to Michigan and Colorado, and drawing interest from quite a few power-four programs.
Delgatty could play any of the three interior positions, but will likely compete with Strayhorn for the starting center position. It's possible that Strayhorn could kick out to RG with Michael Carroll at RT, Delgatty at center, William Sanders at LG, and then either Jackson Lloyd or Ty Haywood at LT.
That's as things stand right now. Alabama is still in the market for another couple of players on the offensive line.
The Crimson Tide's offensive line overhaul is off to a strong start this offseason. Despite some tense moments early in the Transfer Portal, DeBoer and GM Courtney Morgan deserve a lot of credit for the talent they are bringing in. Strayhorn, Haywood, and Delgatty are just the kind of players Alabama needed.
