Alabama basketball adds insult to Auburn's injury with hilarious trolling

If it wasn't enough that Alabama basketball walked into Neville Arena and ruined Senior Day for Auburn, the Crimson Tide added insult to injury with a couple of mocking celebrations of the Tigers.

Alabama basketball beat Auburn on Saturday afternoon in the game of the year in college basketball. Mark Sears hit a game winner in overtime to lift the Crimson Tide to a 93-91 win over the Tigers. The anguish for Auburn, losers of two straight including on their Senior Day in front of a sold out Neville Arena, didn't end with the final buzzer.

Alabama walked onto the Plains and had a level of swagger to them we haven't seen from many teams against Auburn this year. The self-proclaimed "Aura Gang" on the Plains has had no problem taunting and celebrating on their way to an SEC regular season title.

Auburn players hit the "Crimson Crane" following their win in Tuscaloosa in February. On Saturday, Alabama returned the favor.

First, it was Grant Nelson doing it mid-game in the first half after he earned an and-one following a dunk on Dylan Cardwell's head.

The trolling continued following Sears' buzzer beater. The whole team ran over to the crowd and hit the "Crimson Crane" again in front of Auburn's student section. The Tigers' students proceeded to pelt Alabama players with water bottles and towels in a show of extreme class and sportsmanship.

Alabama's trolling of Auburn continued in the locker room

To mock Auburn some more, Alabama players mimicked the "belt to ass" celebration Auburn pulled out last Saturday after a rare Tigers win in Lexington over Kentucky.

The vibes in that locker room are immaculate. Alabama needed that win. They've endured one of the toughest seven game stretches in college basketball history to finish the season. They suffered a difficult home loss to Auburn to open the stretch, got beaten at the buzzer at Tennessee last Saturday, and lost by five at home to Florida on Wednesday.

But as Oats stated, the team was not playing poorly. They had lost some games to be sure, but all of them had been to really good opponents.

But they needed to prove they could win one of those games. They did that on Saturday and they rightfully celebrated after.
