Alabama senior guard Latrell Wrightsell has dealt with a bevy of injuries throughout his Crimson Tide career. After tearing his Achillies last season in the Players Era Festival, Wrightsell returned this year, but has missed eight games due to various injuries.

In the first half of the Crimson Tide's 96-92 win over Auburn on Saturday, Wrightsell went down with a scary knee injury. He had to be helped off the floor and never returned to the game.

Nate Oats said after the game that Wrightsell would be evaluated further to determine the extent of the injury.

Monday brought good news for Wrightsell and the Crimson Tide.

According to Jon Rothstein, Oats told him that an ultrasound on Wrightsell's knee revealed "nothing major" and that the senior guard should be able to play on Wednesday for Alabama on the road against Ole Miss.

Wrightsell is a key player for Alabama, averaging over 11 points per game on the season. After struggling to find his outside shot, Wrightsell is 15-of-29 (51.7%) from three over the Tide's last four games. That included a 7-of-10 outing in a blowout win over Missouri.

That hot shooting has brought Wrightsell up to 41% from three in SEC play, which is a major development for the Alabama offense.

Injuries have been a big issue for Oats' team this season, with Houston Mallette being the only player to appear in every game for the Crimson Tide.

Oats has recently shortened the rotation, and effectively only played seven players throughout the second half of Alabama's win over Auburn over the weekend after Wrightsell's injury.

Alabama has a pair of winnable games lined up this week that could get them right back in the thick of the SEC race. The Tide faces off against the Rebels on the road on Wednesday before returning home to Tuscaloosa to battle South Carolina on Saturday.
