Alabama basketball remains in contention for AJ Dybantsa, the nation's No. 1 overall recruit for the 2025 recruiting cycle and the likely No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. According to On3's Joe Tipton, the Crimson Tide is one of four finalists for Dybantsa's signature.

Originally from Brocton, MA, Dybantsa is currently in Hurricane, Utah, and the home state BYU Cougars have long been seen as the front-runner for his services due to a massive NIL offer on the table.

But Alabama is still in the mix to land the most coveted prospect in the country. Dybantsa took an official visit to Alabama at the end of September and attended Alabama's football game against Georgia.

Recently, while the Crimson Tide was in Las Vegas for the Players Era Festival, Nate Oats and a few players attended one of Dybantsa's games. To return the favor, Dybantsa was in attendance for Alabama's matchup with Oregon in the Championship Game:

Dybantsa's Dad is also expected to be in Chapel Hill tonight for Alabama's matchup against North Carolina. The Tar Heels are also one of the four finalists for Dybantsa along with Alabama, BYU, and Kansas.

Alabama's 2025 class currently ranks in the Top 10 with three Top-100 commitments. 4-star guard Davion Hannah and four-star forwards Amari Allen and London Jemison make up the Tide's class right now. Adding Dybantsa would push the Tide toward the No. 1 overall class in the country.
