It was a good Friday night to be a fan of Alabama Crimson Tide athletics.

Alabama baseball, softball, and gymnastics all scored impressive victories over their opponents to make it one to remember for Tide fans.

Alabama baseball dominates Rhode Island in series opener

There's been a lot of concern around the start of the season for Rob Vaughn's team despite a 4-1 record. Shaky pitching cost Alabama the season opener last weekend against Washington State, and then the bats were lifeless in two close midweek wins over Samford and Alabama State.

But it all came together on Friday night at the Joe against Rhode Island as the Crimson Tide bludgeoned the Rams 19-4 for an impressive series opener. Tyler Fay gave Alabama five solid innings, allowing three runs, but it was the bats finally waking up that was the story, making the pitching effort irrelevant.

Justin Lebron wasted little time, lifting a two-run homer in the 1st inning. Alabama broke the game open in the 2nd inning with eight runs, highlighted by a two-run jack by Justin Osterhouse.

Lebron added his second homer of the day and his fourth of the young season with a three-run bomb in the fifth. Alabama produced 19 runs on 15 hits and finally looked like the offensive powerhouse many expected in the preseason.

The Tide will head back to the diamond on Saturday afternoon at 2pm CT for the second game against Rhode Island.

Alabama softball earns two dominant wins in Tallahassee, including one over Top 10 Florida State

The opening two games at the Dugout Club Classic in Tallahassee couldn't have gone much better for Patrick Murphy and his team. It started with a perfect game by freshman Kaitlyn Palllozzi, the first by a freshman in program history, and just the sixth ever by an Alabama pitcher, in a 7-0 win over Elon.

Another freshman did the damage at the dish. Ana Roman drove in five of Alabama's seven runs, including a three-run home run in the fifth inning.

All eyes were on the second matchup, however, for the Crimson Tide's first real test of the season against a Top 10 opponent in Florida State. It looked strikingly similar to the first game against Elon. Freshman Vic Moten dominated the Seminoles on the mound, carrying a perfect game of her own into the fifth. She pitched seven shutout innings, allowing just three hits as Alabama cruised to an 8-0 win over Florida State.

After three scoreless innings to open, Alabama's bats awoke with a fury in the fourth inning with three home runs to continue the early-season power trend. Brooke Wells, Alexis Pupilo, and Ana Roman all homered in the inning to turn a scoreless tie into a 4-0 Tide lead.

Alabama put up four more runs in the 7th inning thanks to RBI hits by Pupilo, Jena Young, and Kristen White.

If you were slow to jump on the Alabama softball bandwagon because of a lack of competition, the dominant win over Florida State should've been enough to sway you. Murphy's squad is now 11-0 with an aggregate score of 98-9.

Alabama gymnastics wins road meet at Auburn for first time in 8 years

Road meets for Alabama against Auburn haven't been kind to the Tide. Heading into last night at Neville Arena, Alabama hadn't won at Auburn since 2018.

But this squad is different, and the No. 3 Crimson Tide tied its best mark of the season on the way to a 197.950-197.250 win over No. 18 Auburn.
