Justin Lebron walks it off for Alabama baseball
Alabama baseball moved to 23-3 on the season, bouncing back from back-to-back losses to Tennessee over the weekend by beating North Alabama 4-3 in Huntsville on Tuesday night on a Justin Lebron walk-off hit.
Alabama broke out to a 2-0 lead in the 4th inning with Garrett Staton's RBI double driving in two runs. North Alabama tied the game on a two-run homer in the 6th before the Crimson Tide re-took the lead in the 7th inning with an RBI single from Coleman Mizell. The Lions tied the game again in the 8th, setting up Lebron's 9th inning heroics.
Lebron worked a full-count, fouling off five consecutive pitches before finding the one he wanted and ripping it down the third-base line to score Will Plattner and give the Crimson Tide the win.
Alabama will now come back to Tuscaloosa and prepare for a key weekend series against 10th ranked Oklahoma at the Joe.

Two of the brightest young stars on Alabama's campus today are WR Ryan Williams and point guard Labaron Philon. Williams was a star on the football field for the Crimson Tide last season and is one of the top returning players in college football for 2025.
Philon has been an integral part of the basketball team and has helped Alabama reach the Sweet 16, where they will face off against BYU on Wednesday. Before that, though, Philon got together with Williams to recreate an iconic sports photo:

Sarah Ashlee Barker's SEC record performance in the NCAA Tournament
Alabama Women's Basketball came up short against Maryland in the 2nd Round of the NCAA Tournament, falling 111-108 in double overtime in College Park.
Senior Sarah Ashlee Barker, in her final game in a Crimson Tide uniform, left it all out there against the Terps. She scored 45 points, which was not only a program-record, but an all-time SEC record in the NCAA Tournament. She put the team on her back with Aaliyah Nye and Zaay Green fouling out in regulation and then Essence Cody fouling out early in the second overtime period.
Even in defeat, Barker had one of the more iconic moments in program history when she was fouled on a three-point attempt with under one second to play in the first overtime and Alabama trailing by three. She stepped to the line and drained all three free throws to force the second OT period.
In the end, Alabama came up short, but Barker had a performance for the ages, one that will not soon be forgotten.
