Around 10 former Alabama Crimson Tide players are projected to be selected in the 2026 NFL Draft. Based on various projections and mock drafts, more than half of the Alabama players will be drafted in Round Four to Round Seven. All of those players can become bargains for their NFL teams. And potentially, some could become 'steals' who rise to key roles on NFL teams for many seasons.
Kadyn Proctor will not be a bargain or a steal. He will be a great First Round addition to an NFL team. Ty Simpson is projected to be chosen as high as No. 16 by the New York Jets. Many projections have Simpson sliding to the Second Round, making him a bargain for teams like the Arizona Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Alabama Crimson Tide NFL Draft Steal
Some team in the Second Round will get a bargain in Germie Bernard. Toughness, smarts, and more than enough physical tools suggest Bernard has a long, successful NFL career ahead. Bernard would be a smart selection for Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Cleveland, and San Francisco. If he slides into Round Three, he could prove to be the biggest steal of the 2026 Draft.
Deontae Lawson returned to action nine months after an ACL tear. Only late in the 2025 season did Lawson begin to resemble his pre-injury self. NFL teams may be concerned that Lawson has some cartilage damage to the knee. He is projected to be a Round Six or Round Seven selection. Even with doubts about his long-term durability, some team will get a bargain in Lawson. If he lost some physical ability due to the injury, his football knowledge and strong work ethic suggest a player who can have a long NFL career. If he is close to 100% despite the ACL tear, Lawson could also become another Draft steal.
Post-Saban, the Alabama Crimson Tide is still an NFL factory. Former Alabama players will be welcome additions to their NFL teams.
