The days of fax cam girl (IYKYK) might be over, but we'll still be tracking all the signees for Alabama football as they come in over the next few days during the Early Signing Period.
Heading into Wednesday, Alabama has the nation's No. 2 recruiting class according to the 247 composite with 24 commitments. There are a few currently pledged to the Crimson Tide that are expected to flip to other schools; however, Alabama sits in good shape to flip a major target itself.
The majority of Alabama's class is expected to sign on Wednesday and Thursday, though there could be an outlier or two who delay.
Tracking Alabama football signees in the Early Signing Period
This section will be updated throughout the day as pen is put to paper for Alabama signees
1. S Jireh Edwards - 5-star - Upper Marlboro, Maryland
Alabama's first signee of the 2026 recruiting class is one of its biggest. 5-star safety Jireh Edwards put pen to paper early Wednesday morning. Edwards is rated as the No. 32 overall player and the No. 3 safety in the 247 composite. He committed to the Crimson Tide in July and never wavered.
2. S Rihyael Kelley - 3-star - Cincinnati, Ohio
Alabama's second signee is another safety: 3-star Rihyael Kelley, whom the Crimson Tide flipped from Rutgers over the summer. At 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds, Kelley has intriguing athletic traits and could prove to be a hidden gem in this class.
3. CB Jorden Edmonds - 5-star - Marietta, Georgia
Alabama is starting the day by signing three elite defensive backs. Edmonds was one of the Tide's earliest commitments, joining the class in March and never wavering. The 5-star is listed as the No. 2 corner in the country in the composite rankings and could prove to be the third straight elite freshman corner to earn early playing time in Tuscaloosa, following in the footsteps of Zabien Brown and Dijon Lee.
4. DE Corey Howard - 3-star - Valdosta, Georgia
Alabama flipped Corey Howard from Georgia in October. The 3-star EDGE rusher is an intriguing upside swing. He has the size at 6-foot-6 and 245 pounds that is coveted. He was a priority target for Alabama and Georgia, but DeBoer and the staff got it done.
5. OL Bear Fretwell - 3-star - Brooklet, Georgia
A former Georgia Tech commitment, Alabama flipped Bear Fretwell in late July. At 6-foot-7 and 290 pounds, he's the versatile, athletic offensive tackle that is preferred for DeBoer and Ryan Grubb's offensive system.
6. OL Chris Booker - 4-star - Atlanta, Georgia
One of the most impressive evaluations for Courtney Morgan and the Alabama staff was Chris Booker. Alabama took a commitment from Booker back in February and was on the Atlanta native before he blew up. Plenty laughed at the Crimson Tide for taking a commitment from a kid who was unranked at the time. That changed when practically every major program followed suit with an offer and heading into the Early Signing Period, Booker is now a consensus 4-star prospect.
7. OL Jared Doughty - 4-star - Atlanta, Georgia
One of the later additions to Alabama's 2026 class, 4-star offensive tackle Jared Doughty represents a big recruiting win for Alabama over Georgia. Doughty committed to the Crimson Tide one week after taking a visit to Athens to watch Alabama beat Georgia in September. Doughty was once committed to Georgia State, but saw his recruitment blow up early in his senior season thanks to impressive tape. He received offers from a ton of top programs, including Georgia, Ohio State, Auburn, and Missouri.
8. LB Zay Hall - 3-star - Tuscaloosa, Alabama
A local kid, Zay Hall earned an offer from Alabama after camping with the Crimson Tide. Hall is another upside swing, but he was clocked in camp at an impressive 4.5 40-yard dash time and could be an extremely versatile piece in the linebacker room in Kane Wommack's system.
9. RB Ezavier Crowell - 5-star - Jackson, Alabama
There's probably not a player in this class that Alabama fans are more excited about than 5-star RB Ezavier "EJ" Crowell. Not since Jahmyr Gibbs has Alabama had a true difference-maker in the running back room. That will change the moment Crowell steps on campus. Crowell has had a monster season at Jackson High School and will enroll a full year early in Tuscaloosa. Crowell is ranked as the No. 14 overall prospect in the 247 composite and should be an instant impact player in the Tide's backfield.
10. QB Jett Thomalla - 4-star - Omaha, Nebraska
One of two quarterbacks Alabama is expected to sign in this class, 4-star Jett Thomalla has seen a meteoric rise up the recruiting rankings after yet another dominant season of high school football. Thomalla was once an Iowa State commitment, but flipped to Alabama in June. Once ranked outside the Top 200, Thomalla currently sits as the No. 69 overall prospect and the No. 7 QB in the composite.
11. DL Kamhariyan Johnson - 4-star - Muscle Shoals, Alabama
One of the early commitments in what became an impressive in-state haul for DeBoer, Kamhariyan Johnson committed to Alabama following a visit during A-Day weekend back in April. Originally listed as an "Edge", Johnson is already up to 262 pounds before entering a collegiate strength and conditioning program, likely signaling that he'll start in Alabama's Bandit room.
12. CB Zyan Gibson - 4-star - Gadsden, Alabama
4-star CB Zyan Gibson was Alabama's longest-standing commitment in the 2026 class, but his signature didn't come without some drama down the stretch. Gibson decommitted from Alabama late Sunday night before re-committing to the Crimson Tide just an hour later. Along with Jorden Edmonds, Gibson gives Alabama two of the top five cornerbacks in the composite rankings, adding more young talent to an already loaded Tide secondary.
13. DE Malique Franklin - 3-star - Daphne, Alabama
The newest addition to the Alabama class this week, Franklin committed to the in-state Crimson Tide on Tuesday after receiving a late offer on Monday. The offer to Franklin - and subsequent commitment - likely signaled that Alabama knew it was going to lose JJ Finch to Tennessee. Franklin is another prospect with intriguing measurables - 6-foot-5, 250 pounds - who could be an interesting developmental prospect.
14. QB Tayden Kaawa - 3-star - Orem, Utah
Alabama wanted two quarterbacks in this class, with only three scholarship options on the current roster and the possibility for offseason attrition in the room once again. The staff found their man in Utah native Tayden Kaawa, who has a big arm and the ideal size that DeBoer and Grubb look for at 6-foot-5 and 235 pounds. Kaawa is more of a project than Thomalla, but is a guy you might hear a lot about in a few years.
15. DL Nolan Wilson - 4-star - Picayune, Mississippi
Alabama's 15th signee is a big one: 4-star DL Nolan Wilson is ranked as the No. 5 defensive lineman and the No. 53 overall player in the composite rankings. Alabama was Wilson's first offer, and that early relationship and faith ultimately won the day despite a furious late charge by Miami to try and flip the blue-chipper.
16. DL Jamarion Matthews - 4-star - Gainesville, Georgia
An Alabama native, Jamarion Matthews transferred to Gainesville to play his senior year of high school football. He's one of two Alabama natives who played for Gainesville High School expected to sign in the Crimson Tide's 2026 class, with 5-star Xavier Griffin as the other. Matthews has risen all the way up to the No. 52 overall player in the composite.
17. WR Cederian Morgan - 4-star - Alexander City, Alabama
It's looking like Cederian Morgan will be the only WR of the three committed to Alabama who will ultimately sign with the Crimson Tide, though if you could only sign one of them, he would be the one to sign. Morgan was once a 5-star in the composite, but mystifyingly fell to a 4-star despite a monster senior season for Benjamin Russell. He looks the part of a day one contributor in Tuscaloosa.
18. OL Tyrell Miller - JUCO - Union City, California
Alabama picked up a surprise commitment from JUCO offensive lineman Tyrell Miller over the weekend. He officially signed with the Crimson Tide today. Miller is an upside swing from the College of San Mateo - he didn't start playing football until his senior year of high school. He has elite measureables (6-foot-5, 305 pounds) and could be an intriguing developmental prospect. Miller will have three years to play two.
19. TE Mack Sutter - 4-star - Dunlap, Illinois
The nation's No. 5 TE was another summer commitment for the Crimson Tide. Mack Sutter stuck with Alabama down the stretch despite a major push from both Ohio State and home-state Illinois. Sutter is another addition to a talented TE room that features two true freshmen in prominent roles this season in Kaleb Edwards and Marshall Pritchett.
20. LB Xavier Griffin - 5-star - Gainesville, Georgia
(Maybe) last, but certainly not least for Alabama on Wednesday is 5-star LB Xavier Griffin. The one-time USC commitment pledged to Alabama in June to fulfill a childhood dream. Griffin is the nation's No. 1 LB, and it may not take him long to earn playing time.
Storylines to follow
There shouldn't be a ton of drama for Alabama this week. DeBoer and company sit in a good spot with this class and the majority of the top guys have previously announced their recruitments were shut down.
Alabama has three commitments currently on the chopping block: DL JJ Finch, RB Javari Barnett, and WR Brian Williams Jr. Finch will decide on Wednesday between Alabama and Tennessee, with most intel pointing toward a flip to the Vols.
Barnett is widely expected to flip back to his home state Illinois (he did), and Williams seems to be trending toward Auburn. Williams had been trending toward USF in recent weeks, but Alex Golesh's taking the Auburn job has changed his likely final destination.
Barnett made his flip official
On the positive end, Alabama sits in good shape to flip 4-star OT Bryson Cooley away from LSU on Wednesday. Multiple predictions have come in this week for Cooley to flip to the Crimson Tide. He's currently slated to make his final decision on Wednesday around 1pm CT.
