Landing an official visit from this prospect would be huge. Literally.

Kalen DeBoer and Alabama football continue to make waves on the recruiting trail as they turn up the heat on the 2026 class. DeBoer proved he could recruit well enough in Tuscaloosa in the 2025 cycle, landing a Top 5 class in the country.

He still has to prove he can recruit consistently, however, as one great class won't be enough. It has been a slow start to the 2026 class for the Crimson Tide as they only hold one commitment, but more appear to be on the horizon in the near future.

Before the beginning of the current dead period, DeBoer and his staff were traveling all across the country to visit top prospects and try to line up visits. It looks like you can add another blue-chipper to the list of official visitors coming to a Capstone near you.

Alabama made the cut in five-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho's Top-11 schools, but they appear to be one of the top contenders as Iheanacho plans to make the Crimson Tide one of the five programs he officially visits.

The 247 composite rankings have Iheanacho as the No. 3 overall prospect in the 2026 class. Iheanacho is a 6'6" 345-pound monster offensive tackle prospect out of Rockville, Maryland. Alabama had a lot of success recruiting the DMV during Nick Saban's tenure. Notably, Alabama signed 5-star OT Cyrus Kouandjio and his brother Arie from the area over a decade ago.

Along with Alabama, Iheanacho is slated to officially visit Oregon, Georgia, Penn State, and Maryland. This will be an uphill battle for Iheanacho as he has publicly stated Oregon is his leader. He mentioned Georgia and Penn State as the other programs in his top three so the Crimson Tide has some work to do to swing his recruitment.

Getting him on campus for an official visit is a big first step in potentially swaying him toward the Crimson Tide. New offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb and his background as an offensive line coach could be a big addition for Alabama in his recruitment.
