Among SEC teams, Alabama Football leads the way on the CBS Sports/247Sports list of college football's top 150 players. The post-spring list will need an update from the next flurry of Portal activity. For now, five SEC teams have more than three players on the Top 150 list, led by the Alabama Crimson Tide with nine. Alabama is followed by Georgia with seven, Texas with six; LSU and Auburn have five players each.

The same source provided a 2024 post-season list of the Top 150, which included six Alabama football players. Three of last season's six made the list for the 2025 season.

The rankings list was compiled by former Texas All-America, and nine-year NFL player, Blake Brockermeyer. Alabama football fans know the Brockermeyer family well, with two of Blake's sons, James and Tommy, having played for the Crimson Tide. Blake is a college football analyst for 247Sports.
