Alabama Football is expected to be the favorite in 11 regular-season games. The only exception is the Crimson Tide being a slight underdog to Georgia in Athens. According to FanDuel, the Georgia Bulldogs are favored by 4.5 points at Sanford Stadium. Both teams are projected to have 9.5 over-under wins in the 2025 regular season.

The Alabama Crimson Tide is favored by double-digit margins in five games, and that count will be seven when ULM and Eastern Illinois picks are released. The current four are: Wisconsin, which opened at 12.5 points and has moved as high as 16 points; Florida State is a 12.5-point underdog; Vanderbilt is +22.5 points; Tennessee is +11.5 points; and Oklahoma is +12.5 points.

The Oklahoma point spread is somewhat surprising. Phil Steele is so bullish on the Sooners that he projects them to be the No. 1 in surprise teams. How big a leap OU can make from 6-7 last season is debatable, but Steele calls the Oklahoma roster "playoff caliber."

Other Alabama Football Point Spreads

Alabama is currently favored by a touchdown or less against South Carolina at -7 points; LSU at -6.5, and Auburn at -5.5 points. The Crimson Tide is also expected to be a favorite over Missouri. Indications are that few Missouri fans disagree.

Looking at the early games, it is interesting to project which SEC football team will have its first loss in the 2025 season. Texas and LSU are certainly at risk of an early defeat, with the Longhorns taking on Ohio State in Columbus and LSU playing Clemson in the wrong Death Valley for the Bengal Tigers. The Buckeyes are currently favored by 2.5 points. Clemson is favored by 3.5 points.

Tennessee gets Syracuse in Atlanta, with the Vols a 12.5-point favorite. With Tennessee's quarterback question mark, the game might be closer, but it should not be a game Cuse can win, unless the Vols manage to gift it to them.

Auburn travels to Waco to take on Baylor. The Tigers are currently favored by 2.5 points. Despite the addition of Jackson Arnold, the Bears will have the better quarterback. Along with an explosive offense, Dave Aranda should have an improved defense. The combination should be enough to give the Big 12 a win over the SEC.

If Arch Manning justifies all the hype, the Horns should squeeze by the Buckeyes. The first two losses by SEC teams will likely be from Auburn and LSU.
