Alabama football has locked in another official visit from a blue-chip prospect in the 2026 recruiting class.

4-star LB Cincere Johnson from Cleveland, Ohio will officially visit the Crimson Tide over the weekend of May 31st, per On3.

Johnson is a 6'3", 225 pound LB and is ranked as the No. 117 player in the country per the 247 composite rankings. He's ranked as the No. 9 LB and No. 4 overall player in the state of Ohio.

Johnson is a high-end athlete who could play inside or outside at the next level. It's easy to see a parallel between Johnson and Jihaad Campbell on tape and defensive coordinator Kane Wommack has to be intrigued with the versatility he would have in the 4-star prospect.

Johnson was in Tuscaloosa for Alabama's Junior Day a couple of weeks ago and has locked in an official visit with the Crimson Tide now. Most experts believe this is a two-horse race between Alabama and Ohio State to land his signature, though with official visits set up with Oklahoma and USC, there's still plenty of time for the others to get heavily involved in his recruitment.

Alabama still only has one commitment in the 2026 class with 4-star CB Zyan Gibson out of Gadsden, AL being the lone pledge so far. But Alabama is trending with a few others and made a big impression with quite a few during its Junior Day.

It's only a matter of time before Kalen DeBoer and company start adding players to this class. The new staff proved it could recruit this past cycle with one of the top classes in the country, and that's not going to change in this cycle even with a slower than optimal start to building the class.

It was recently announced that Alabama would get official visits from a pair of five-star prospects - WR Tristen Keys and OT Immanuel Iheanacho.
