Alabama football vs. Auburn final odds and a prediction
Alabama football takes on Auburn in the 89th iteration of the Iron Bowl later today on Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Alabama has a four-game Iron Bowl winning streak but limps into this year's version following last week's thumping at Oklahoma that ended the Tide's hopes of a second consecutive SEC Championship. The loss also made it unlikely, barring a wild final Saturday of the regular season.
Auburn comes in with some momentum, its fans likely happier with the Tigers being 5-6 than Alabama fans are being 8-3. But a loss for Auburn would mean a fourth straight losing season on the Plains.
Auburn knocked off Texas A&M at home last week in overtime to have an opportunity to garner bowl eligibility in Tuscaloosa.

Spread: Alabama -10.5
Over/Under: 52.5
Alabama opened -14.5 a week ago before the Oklahoma game. After the Crimson Tide's 24-3 loss in Norman, the line re-released on Monday at Alabama -11.5. It has been bet down to where Alabama is now barely a double-digit favorite at -10.5 this afternoon.
Final Prediction:
I'll be honest: I have no idea what to expect in this game. Alabama has been so Jekyll-and-Hyde this season that it's impossible to predict its games. If you could guarantee me that the version of the Tide that beat Georgia and LSU would be walking into Bryant-Denny, I'd feel comfortable taking Alabama to cover this 10.5-point spread.
But if the version we saw last week in Norman shows up. Or the version that lost at Tennessee and Vanderbilt, then there's a real chance Alabama falls to Auburn at home tomorrow and finishes the season at an almost unfathomable 8-4.
Something tells me Dr. Jekyll shows up for the Tide tomorrow and Alabama's leadership group rallies the troops and the Tide knocks off Auburn to win its fifth straight Iron Bowl and finish Kalen DeBoer's first regular season on a high note.
