Kalen DeBoer is looking to put the finishing touches on Alabama's 2027 recruiting class. It has been a smaller-than-normal class so far, with the Crimson Tide holding just 16 total commitments and a class ranking far below the usual standard.
That's all been by design, however, with Alabama coming off back-to-back large - and highly regarded - classes in the past two cycles. Roster retention will be a major piece of the roster-building puzzle for the 2027 season while also earmarking a decent chunk of change for portal shopping.
But Alabama is still on the hunt for a handful of prospects to fill out its class. They just landed one on Monday with in-state offensive lineman Xavier Endicott announcing his commitment to the Tide.
One of Alabama's top remaining targets is 4-star safety Jernard Albright out of Springfield, Georgia. Albright is currently committed to Florida State, but a recent Alabama offer and subsequent campus visit has the Tide in position to potentially flip the blue-chip target:

Jernard Albright's two recent trips to Tuscaloosa has Alabama firmly on flip watch for the 4-star
Albright took his first trip to Tuscaloosa for the Georgia game back on October 10th. He received an offer from the coaching staff while he was on that trip. He quickly made plans to return, and this past weekend's trip for the Texas A&M game was an official visit.
Two trips to Tuscaloosa in three weeks should show you that Albright is serious about Alabama. Florida State's tumultuous season and the never-ending Mike Norvell hot seat rumors could very well work in the Crimson Tide's favor, and it makes sense as to why he would want to keep his options open with the early signing period now just over a month away.
Albright is listed at 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds and ranks as the No. 175 overall player and No. 14 safety in the 2027 class, per the composite rankings. He is a consensus 4-star prospect.
Alabama doesn't yet have a safety committed in this class, and Albright appears to be the top target as things stand right now. 3-star CB Darrius White is currently the only other DB committed to the Crimson Tide for this cycle.
In-state safety Junior Tu'upo has been another flip target for Alabama, but he has remained firm in his commitment to Texas despite multiple trips to Tuscaloosa for games this fall and his high school teammate - Alabama QB commit Trent Seaborn - consistently being in his ear.
It's been a quiet recruiting cycle overall for Alabama, but don't be surprised if DeBoer and his staff produce some fireworks down the stretch.
