It will be Alabama or Michigan for 4-star DL Titan Davis. The Top 100 recruit has cancelled his other official visits, fresh off his trip to Tuscaloosa this past weekend. He has a trip to Michigan planned for June 20th, which could be moved up, but his decision will come down to the Crimson Tide and the Wolverines.
Davis had initially planned to take official visits to Penn State this weekend and USC next, but he has cancelled both visits and instead will focus on his two leaders. Alabama has to feel like they are in a good position, seeing as this decision was made directly following his trip to Tuscaloosa this past weekend.
Alabama should be seen as the favorite as things currently stand, but Kalen DeBoer and company aren't out of the woods yet with the trip to Ann Arbor still on the horizon. Michigan will have a chance to deliver its pitch, and its recent history of defensive line development will be a big factor working in its favor.
Davis, the St. Louis native, is a consensus 4-star recruit and the No. 98 overall player in the 247 Composite. He's the 2nd ranked player in the state of Missouri. He's coming off a big junior season at DeSmet, where he racked up 46 tackles, 18 TFL, and nine sacks while helping lead his team to a State Championship.
Freddie Roach is looking to deliver Alabama an elite haul of defensive linemen
Davis is at the top of Alabama's board, but he's just the first potential domino in a big DL recruiting class that position coach Freddie Roach is looking to deliver to DeBoer.
Alabama also appears to be in good shape for 4-star Nolan Wilson, who joined Davis on an official visit last weekend. Wilson, a native of Picayune, Mississippi, is ranked as the No. 56 overall player in the class, according to the 247 Composite.
Along with Davis and Wilson, the Crimson Tide is in the mix for some prospects with positional versatility, guys who could potentially play on the DL or end up at the Wolf LB position in Kane Wommack's defense.
5-star Tank Jones and 4-star Khamari Brooks, to name a couple, also have Alabama high on their list of potential schools.
DeBoer and company are heading into yet another massive recruiting weekend as they look to get the ball rolling on the 2026 class. Some have been concerned with Alabama only holding five commitments currently, but it seems to be only a matter of time before they go on a big summer run.
