Alabama legend trolling the Tide for CFP exit to Indiana is beyond sad

It never feels right when a former player pokes fun at his alma mater, especially when it comes after a blowout loss in the College Football Playoff.

The Alabama Crimson Tide was undeniably embarrassed by the No. 1 Indiana Hoosiers in the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff.

Coming off the 38-3 loss, things weren't looking or feeling great for the Tide. It only got worse when a former Alabama player decided to rub salt in the wound.

Damien Harris, who won two National Championships with Alabama, took to social media after the blowout loss, and it undeniably rubbed fans of the Crimson Tide the wrong way.

Damien Harris wasn't exactly sad Alabama lost

Before the Playoff started, Harris jumped on CBS Sports to share his thoughts about the bracket, and even shared his opinion that the Notre Dame Fighting Irish deserved a spot in the playoffs more than Alabama did.

Following the loss, he jumped on social media to say, "And y’all wanted me to apologize," with three crying laughing emojis.

Immediately, fans started ripping into him, saying that he should never come back to Tuscaloosa and that he was making the game about himself, instead of praising the current players and coaches for a season well done.

After his appearance on CBS Sports, even the social media account for Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium felt the need to tell Harris to hit the road

Harris undeniably stepped in it when he decided to make the loss about his earlier opinion, cementing his distrust in the current state of his alma mater. Yes, the loss was embarrassing, but having a former star like Harris disrespect the team was what hurt even more.

While the Tide is heading home, Indiana is heading to Atlanta for the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, where the Hoosiers will play the Oregon Ducks, a team that they defeated in the regular season.
