Kalen DeBoer and Alabama are gearing up for what should be another highly productive summer on the recruiting trail.
The Tide's momentum is beginning to rise in the aftermath of 5-star QB Elijah Haven committing to Alabama on Saturday. Haven, the No. 1 QB in the 2027 class, could be the first domino to fall in what should be a third consecutive massive summer recruiting run for DeBoer and his staff.
Haven, a Louisiana native, could be a major asset in the recruitment of another one of the top players from the Bayou State.
4-star RB Trey Martin, the No. 7 overall prospect in Louisiana and No. 12 RB in the 2027 class, has been a priority target for the Crimson Tide throughout the recruiting process. On Tuesday, the Winnsboro product trimmed his list down to six schools, which included Alabama.
Joining Alabama on his list were Florida, LSU, Ohio State, Ole Miss, and Tennessee:

Alabama among six schools remaining for RB Trey Martin as official visit season begins
Martin was in Tuscaloosa last month for a visit and will take his official visit to Alabama over the weekend of June 5th. That coincides with the same weekend Haven will return to Tuscaloosa for his official visit.
He's also set to take visits to the other five schools that are in contention for his signature, so there's still a whole bunch of recruiting to be done for the 4-star back.
Martin burst onto the scene during his junior season of high school, racking up 1310 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns on an insane 11.4 yards per carry. He was a homerun threat every single time he touched the football, scoring a touchdown every 4.23 carries.
Martin is one of two running backs who have drawn significant interest from DeBoer and his staff during this cycle. Alabama is also heavily involved with Georgia's Nigel Newkirk, and recently picked up a crystal ball prediction to land him.
Alabama would likely be in the market for two running backs in this cycle, with six total running backs on the roster, one of whom is a senior, Khalifa Keith. There seems to be good odds, with how impressive freshmen EJ Crowell and Trae'shawn Brown have looked early on, that an upperclass RB or two could ultimately hit the portal after the season, too.
Martin and Newirk would be an excellent duo to add in the 2027 class if DeBoer can pull it off.
