Alabama staffer did her part to not let Oklahoma players disrespect the Tide

After the Crimson Tide lost to the Sooners, an Alabama staff member made sure that the Oklahoma players didn't disrespect Alabama even further.

It was a disappointing finish to Saturday when the Oklahoma Sooners upset the Alabama Crimson Tide, snapping one of the largest home winning streaks in the country.

Then, in true Sooner fashion, the Oklahoma players marched around the Tide's home turf at Bryant-Denny Stadium, celebrating their victory.

As a group of Sooners attempted to take a group picture atop the Alabama logo on Nick Saban Field, an unsung hero approached the group, telling them to stop. A young female staffer got into a relatively heated argument with the group of Oklahoma athletes before they eventually climbed off the logo and moved on with their nights.

Simply put, the young woman was one of the heroes of the day, making sure the Crimson Tide kept as much dignity as possible after the loss.

This isn't the first time an Oklahoma athlete has disgraced the field of the home team that he just defeated. Only a few years ago, former Sooner quarterback Baker Mayfield stuck the OU flag into the center of the field logo after beating the Ohio State Buckeyes.

The woman who cleared the players off the Alabama logo may have been a little familiar with the team's history and knew what to expect from their post-game antics.

With the loss, Alabama dropped to 8-2 overall and 6-1 in SEC play, still primed to make a run to the conference championship game in December. Meanwhile, the Sooners improved to 8-2 overall and 4-2 against conference opponents, keeping their postseason hopes alive, for now.

In an attempt to get their feet back under them before the Iron Bowl, the Tide will take on the Eastern Illinois Panthers on Saturday, Nov. 22. Then, one week later, Alabama and Auburn will clash on Saturday, Nov. 29, for their annual rivalry matchup.
