Alabama star WR Ryan Williams is putting last season's sophomore slump behind him for good. He will sport a new jersey number - and a new last name - for the 2026 season as he embarks on what will likely be his final season in Tuscaloosa before making the jump to the NFL.

In a reveal of new jersey numbers for Alabama's newcomers, along with changes for returning Tide players by Yea-Alabama on Friday, the rising junior is now listed as Ryan Coleman-Williams, and will revert back to his high school No. 1 after wearing the No. 2 during his first two seasons with the Crimson Tide:

The Alabama WR wore "Coleman" and "Williams" on his eye black for a game last season and said he did so to represent both of his last names. The Coleman comes from his mother, Tiffany Coleman, and Williams will now have both last names on his jersey and on Alabama's official roster.

Alabama WR Ryan Coleman-Williams swapped from No. 2 to No. 1

During his dominant high school career at Saraland, Coleman-Williams sported the No. 1. He's clearly getting back to his roots with that new number and his updated name. The No. 1 jersey was worn last season by Isaiah Horton, who transferred to Texas A&M in January.

Coleman-Williams will not be the only Alabama WR with a new jersey number next season. Rising sophomore Lotzeir Brooks is making the switch from No. 17 to No. 3. The No. 3 was taken last season by Jaylen Mbakwe, who transferred to Georgia Tech this offseason.

Rising redshirt sophomore Rico Scott has also swapped from No. 11 to No. 7. The No. 7 was occupied the last few seasons by Cole Adams, who transferred to Vanderbilt after the season.

Other changes include Yhonzae Pierre (No. 42 to No. 0), Luke Metz (No. 26 to No. 4), Kevin Riley (No. 28 to No. 6), Marshall Pritchett (No. 14 to No. 9), Cayden Jones (No. 30 to No. 23), and Jackson Lloyd (No. 78 to No. 77).
