The AP and Coaches Polls have been revealed on Tuesday, with Alabama football taking a massive drop from its perch at No. 8 in the country as expected. The Tide's porous performance on the road in a loss to Florida State was well punished.

Alabama dropped to No. 20 in the Coaches Poll and No. 21 in the AP Poll. It's the lowest Alabama has been ranked since the preseason poll for the 2008 season. Alabama started No. 24 in the poll before blowing out Clemson and making a massive rise en route to an unbeaten regular season.

Now, the Crimson Tide is heading in the opposite direction in year two of the Kalen DeBoer era.

On the bright side - if you want to look it that way - Alabama remains ranked, which extends the second-longest streak in AP Poll history. This marks the 280th consecutive week Alabama has been included in the Top 25.

Kalen DeBoer keeps making unfortunate history at Alabama

The problem with being the guy to follow the guy is that even if you are pretty good, you're not likely going to live up to the standard set before you.

Unfortunately for Kalen DeBoer, "pretty good" doesn't describe his first 14 games at Alabama.

After the season-opening loss to Florida State, DeBoer is now just 9-5 during his short tenure in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama is now ranked lower than it has been in 17 years. That adds to the list of broken streaks under the Tide's head coach. At 0-1, Alabama has a losing record in the regular season for the first time since 2003. A losing record for the first time, period, since the end of the 2006 season when they lost to Oklahoma State in the Independence Bowl to finish at 6-7.

That's not to mention all the streaks that were ended a year ago, such as not winning 10+ games for the first time in 17 years or 11+ games for the first time in 14.

It's been a rough road for DeBoer. There's still time to right the ship, but things continue to look bleak in Tuscaloosa. An offseason of optimism immediately gave way to poor results on the field for the second season in a row.
