If you haven't been keeping track, Alabama is undergoing a pretty substantial offensive overhaul.
Five offensive linemen, including starter Wilkin Formby, and five wide receivers have already entered the Transfer Portal. In the backfield, Richard Young entered the portal with Jam Miller and Dre Washington exhausting their eligibility.
Ty Simpson is reportedly weighing his options between a return to Alabama, the NFL Draft, or the Transfer Portal.
Alabama's offense is going to look substantially different next season.
One of the biggest needs is a difference-maker at RB. Alabama is currently hosting NC State transfer Hollywood Smothers on a visit. Things look to be trending in a positive direction with Smothers, but Kalen DeBoer and the staff are still weighing their options at the position.
Arizona State transfer Raleek Brown, who ran for over 1100 yards last season, is scheduled to come to Tuscaloosa for a visit on Tuesday:

Arizona State star RB Raleek Brown to visit Alabama
Brown rushed for 1141 yards and four touchdowns - while adding 239 yards and two touchdowns as a receiver - during his redshirt junior season in Tempe. That included a 255-yard rushing performance against Colorado in November.
Brown's explosiveness is something that has been sorely missing the last couple of seasons in the Alabama backfield. It led to him being an All-Big 1st teamer according to the Coaches, and a 2nd teamer by the media this season.
Smothers and Brown are two terrific options for the Crimson Tide. If they can land either of them, pairing a proven veteran with 5-star incoming freshman EJ Crowell, along with two of Daniel Hill, Kevin Riley, and AK Dear, then that feels like a pretty substantial upgrade from the 2025 RB room.
The Transfer Portal is open until January 16th, but that's just for players to enter. Players can, and will, commit to schools after the entry deadline date.
Alabama has seen 16 players enter the portal so far, with only one commitment in Oklahoma State TE Josh Ford. The additions are coming soon, however, and a high-level running back is likely to join the fold sooner rather than later.
