The injuries continue to pile up for Nate Oats and Alabama basketball this season. In 16 games thus far, Alabama has used 10 different starting lineup combinations as a result, Oats revealed on Monday. That could become an 11th in 17 games when the Crimson Tide tips off in Starkville on Tuesday night.
Along with the expected injury designations (Davion Hannah, Collins Onyejiaka out; Latrell Wrightsell doubtful), Florida State transfer forward Taylor Bol Bowen popped up on Monday night's injury report and was listed as doubtful alongside Wrightsell:

Alabama will be shorthanded against Mississippi State
Wrightsell continues to deal with numerous injuries, and Oats said that trainer Clarke Holter isn't comfortable allowing Wrightsell to play yet despite the senior guard's desire to get back onto the court. He was missed in Alabama's loss to Texas in a game where Alabama needed someone to take defensive assignments seriously.
Bol Bowen is coming off one of his better games of the season for Alabama in the Texas loss. In a game where many didn't bring the required effort to win an SEC game, Bol Bowen played hard from the opening whistle. He finished with his first double-double of the season, but it clearly came at a price.
There's no update as to what Bol Bowen is dealing with, but his doubtful designation means it's unlikely he'll be able to go tonight in Starkville.
Those injuries leave Alabama with just nine scholarship players available for tonight's road game at the Hump. And if the Crimson Tide wants to maintain any chance of winning the SEC regular season title, they can't afford to drop a third straight conference game.
Coming off consecutive losses to Vanderbilt and Texas, Alabama fell to No. 18 in the AP Poll, and its continued inclusion in the Top 25 probably depends on winning back-to-back road games this week. After tonight's matchup in Starkville, Alabama will travel to Norman to face off against Oklahoma before a much-needed week off to get healthy.
