He's not one to hold back. Nope, when it comes to Charles Barkley, AKA Sir Charles, he has no problem delivering takes that raise plenty of eyebrows. Such is the case with Alabama basketball getting ready to take on No. 1 Auburn on Saturday.
The No. 2 Crimson Tide are hoping to post their biggest win of the year, as everyone in Tuscaloosa is fired up for tip-off to arrive. Barkley will be watching this one closely, but since he's a die-hard Auburn fan following his college days, you know he'll be firing shots at Alabama from start to finish.
He's already gotten started too. Earlier this week, Barkley decided to blast the Crimson Tide faithful in the only way he knows how: by taking things over the top. Alabama supporters are not happy about this one bit:

“The good thing about them sucking at football right now, is that they’re not all up in your face saying ‘Roll Tide!’
This is how such jackasses they are- they lost four games right? Let me tell you…
Charles Barkley called out Alabama fans ahead of the showdown with No. 1 Auburn
Alabama sucking at football? One disappointing season from Kalen DeBoer shouldn't change the narrative surrounding the program. Alabama is still Alabama, Charles, and this team is going to bounce back in the biggest way possible next campaign. Do we need to bring up dominance in the Iron Bowl?
Expectations are always going to be high surrounding the program, so when DeBoer fails miserably in Year 1 taking over for Nick Saban, people are going to be upset. It's natural. Calling Tide fans 'jackas***' is just a bit over the top.
If anything, it now has those same 'jackas***' even more hopeful that the Crimson Tide will land a proverbial haymaker on Bruce Pearl and the Tigers on Saturday. No. 1 vs. No. 2? That's what's on the way. Nate Oats has his guys playing at an unreal level and Barkley delivered everyone even more motivation to take down the Tigers.
Beating Auburn won't be easy and Oats knows his standout players need to be at their best. He has already called on Mark Sears and Grant Nelson, the team's two leading scorers, to take care of the basketball. If Alabama can stay focused and play its brand of hoops, a win over the top team in the country could be on the way. Should that happen, someone will need to order Barkley a gigantic piece of humble pie.
