A big second-half by Jessica Timmons and a clutch bucket from Diana Collins proved to be the difference for Alabama women's basketball in a 64-63 win over No. 13 Ole Miss in Tuscaloosa on Thursday night.

Alabama trailed by three at halftime, but took a one-point lead into the fourth quarter. Timmons put the team on her back in the second half, scoring 21 of her game-high 23 points. She also grabbed seven rebounds and came up with four steals.

Alabama trailed by three with 1:32 to play, but a pair of free throws by Timmons and then a layup put the Crimson Tide up 62-61 with 47 seconds to play. After two free throws by the Rebels put them back up by one, Alabama had the ball with under 30 seconds to play.

Off a timeout, Kristy Curry drew up a play for Collins - not Timmons - and the junior delivered with a tough drive to the basket and a bucket to put Alabama up 64-63.

Timmons came up clutch on the defensive end, stepping in and taking a charge from Ole Miss star Cotie McMahon. After Collins missed a pair of free throws off a subsequent foul, Alabama had to come up with one final defensive stop to seal the win.

An impressive season by Kristy Curry and Alabama

The win pushes Alabama to 20-4 overall and 6-4 in SEC play. It's the fastest the program has ever gotten to 20 wins, surpassing last year's school record. It's also the fifth consecutive 20+ win season that Curry has led her team to.

It's an even more impressive feat considering what Curry had to replace from a year ago. Alabama lost three WNBA draft picks in Sarah Ashlee Barker, Aaliyah Nye, and Zaay Green from last season's squad, but reloaded quickly to produce another quality basketball team.

It was a critical win at home for the Crimson Tide with a brutal schedule waiting to wrap up the regular season. Four of Alabama's final six games come against teams currently ranked in the AP Top 11. They'll face No. 11 Oklahoma, No. 3 South Carolina, and No. 4 Texas at home, while going on the road to play No. 7 Vanderbilt.

The two unranked opponents left on the schedule will both be tricky road games at Florida and Texas A&M.
