Current list of Alabama football commits for 2018 class.

Based upon two carry-over blueshirts, (Bulovas and Brannon) and one grayshirt, (Parks) from 2017, the target number of additional 2018 signees is 22.

The players listed below currently appear to be firm commits. Recruiting cycles are always fluid until at least Signing Day. The addition of an early signing period in December accelerates the 2018 recruiting cycle.

It remains to be seen how Alabama football will be affected by the calendar change. It is reasonable to assume most early enrollees will sign in December.

All the player ratings below are from the 247Sports Composite.

Current 2018 Verbal Commit Total: 12

Bolden is a 3-Star recruit, rated as the No. 650 player in the nation. Nick Saban and Brian Daboll rate Bolden far higher. He is expected to primarily be a slot receiver for Alabama football. Bolden has 24 offers, including LSU, Arkansas, Tennessee, TCU, Washington, Utah and Ole Miss.

Bolden intends to be an early enrollee for Alabama football.

Armour-Davis is a 4-Star recruit, rated as the No. 123 player in the nation and the No. 16 cornerback. Jalyn has 12 offers including Florida, FSU, USC, Auburn, Georgia and Oklahoma.

Brown is a 4-Star recruit, rated as the No. 167 player in the nation and the No. 12 offensive tackle. Tommy has 17 offers including Oregon, Notre Dame, Auburn, Utah, UCLA and Florida. Brown will remain in California next spring to compete for a state shot-put championship and enroll at Alabama in June.

Walker is a 4-Star recruit, rated as the No. 163 player in the nation and the No. 11 outside linebacker. Quay has 17 offers including Georgia, LSU, Miami, FSU, Oregon, Auburn and Florida.

DeLong is a 3-Star recruit, rated as the No. 1 punter in the nation. Skyler has five offers including Tennessee and Clemson. He originally committed to Tennessee.

Wynn is a 4-Star recruit, rated as the No. 112 player in the nation and the No. 5 strongside defensive end. Stephon has 27 offers including Ohio State, Penn State, Clemson, Auburn, Michigan, Georgia, LSU and Miami.

Latu is a 4-Star recruit, rated as the No. 147 player in the nation and the No. 8 weakside defensive end. Cameron has 23 offers including USC, Utah, BYU, Oregon, Washington, Tennessee and UCLA.

Davis is a 4-Star recruit, rated as the No. 230 player in the nation and the No. 12 weakside defensive end. Jordan has 16 offers, including LSU, Michigan State, Tennessee, FSU, Florida, Georgia, Oregon and Ohio State.

Williams is a 4-Star recruit, rated as the No. 97 player in the nation and No. 19 wide receiver. Xavier has 40 offers including Miami, Ohio  State, LSU, Michigan, Florida, FSU, Auburn, Georgia and Stanford.

In recent weeks Bell has been a 2-Star and 4-Star recruit. The 247Sports Composite rating was upgraded to a 3-Star shortly before Bell announced for Alabama. Bell’s rep exploded after his camp performance in Tuscaloosa.

Vernon Jackson is a 3-Star recruit, rated as the No. 17 Athlete in the nation. He plays quarterback in high school but at 6-feet-3, 240 pounds he is expected to play linebacker for the Crimson Tide. Jackson was recruited by Burton Burns and that could lead to Jackson also being considered at running back. As a junior, he rushed for over 2,000 yards.

Ekiyor is a 4-Star Center who can also play OG. He is the No. 2 ranked C in the nation and No. 105 Overall. Ekiyor had been a showcase commit for Michigan for months. His flip to Alabama had been expected for a few weeks.

The verbal commits post will be updated with each new player announcement. August is a dead period in the recruiting calendar and few players are expected to announce their choice before the start of the college football season.
