Nothing bonds two people together like working together every day to accomplish the ultimate goal, and pulling it off at the end of your final year on the same team.
That's exactly why former Alabama quarterback Bryce Young and linebacker Will Anderson Jr. are so close to this day. The two led the Crimson Tide to the 2020 National Championship while stacking up individual awards of their own.
Now, on different NFL teams and separated by a few hundred miles, Young and Anderson only get to see each other when their schedules allow, which is exactly what happened this week.
When the Houston Texans and the Carolina Panthers held a joint practice, Young (the quarterback for the Panthers) and Anderson (a linebacker for the Texans) got to reunite, and the pair couldn't contain their excitement over seeing one another.
Young virtually skipped up to Anderson to hold his former teammate in an embrace as the two young stars appeared giddy over the reunion that had been many months in the making.

Most of the time, when the pair reunites, it's on opposite sides of the line as Anderson tries to take down Young. However, this time around, the two got to share that ever-so-special Alabama Crimson Tide connection.
The former Alabama quarterback was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Just two picks later, Anderson heard his name called.
Since entering the NFL, Young and Anderson have both cemented themselves as starters for their teams. So far, Young has already amassed 5,280 passing yards for 19 touchdowns and 502 rushing yards for six touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Anderson has earned 82 total tackles (56 solo), including 18 sacks. He has forced and recovered one fumble and earned three pass deflections over the last two seasons.
While they don't suit up in the same colors anymore, the connection between the former Alabama stars is undeniable, and it is always a lovely thing to see college teammates reunite.
