It has been a disastorous start for Jalen Milroe and Alabama football in the ReliaQuest Bowl against the Michigan Wolverines.
After turning the ball over on downs on the opening possession of the game, Milroe turned the ball over three times in just four snaps. In a driving rainstorm, Milroe fumbled the first snap of Alabama's second possession of the game.
Following a Michigan field goal to go up 6-0, Milroe threw an interception on a pass intended for freshman Rico Scott on the second play of the next possession. Following a Michigan touchdown, Milroe was strip-sacked on the first play of the next possession leading to more Michigan points.
Alabama fans on social media have begun screaming for Kalen DeBoer to bench Milroe in favor of Ty Simpson.
For now, DeBoer is sticking with Milroe despite the disaster of a start in Tampa. Milroe has been one of the most polarizing players in the history of Alabama football with some of the highest of highs and some of the lowest of lows as the team's starting quarterback.
