It's never a good idea to talk trash about the Alabama Crimson Tide. Especially when you're representing a team that is coming off a season where it finished 17th in the ACC with a 2-10 overall record.
Yet, Florida State quarterback Thomas Castellanos has done just that. In a recent interview with On3's Pete Nakos, Castellanos shared about his dreams to play against the Crimson Tide, citing a lack of former head coach Nick Saban as a reason he isn't scared of Alabama.
"They don't have Nick Saban to save them," Castellanos said. "I just don't see them stopping me."
To be clear, Castellanos played for the Boston College Eagles last season. He was one of the three quarterbacks to take snaps for the Eagles and led BC to an eighth-place finish in the ACC, with a 7-6 overall record and a loss to the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Pinstripe Bowl.
"I feel like I tore the ACC up by my ---- self for the last two years, and now I’m with a squad," Castellanos told Nakos. "I hope people don’t think that Florida State is going to be the same team it was last year because we have weapons. People can’t just sit back in zone coverage and watch me."

Luckily for Castellanos, his dream will become a reality when Florida State faces Alabama on Saturday, Aug. 30, for their first game of the season.
Last season, Castellanos completed just 61.5 percent of his pass attempts for 1,366 yards and 18 touchdowns through the air. He ran for a minimal 194 yards and just one additional touchdown. Not to mention, he threw five interceptions and fumbled the ball six times, losing three of those fumbles.
To be as brazen as he was to say that the ACC couldn't stop him and the Crimson Tide won't be able to stop him either is quite simply as bold a take as there is. Last season alone, the Alabama defense forced 13 fumbles and recovered the ball 11 times. The defense also forced 25 sacks and picked off 17 interceptions while playing against some of the best teams in the nation in the SEC.

Castellanos' bold take has sent Seminole fans into a tizzy as they try to support their expected QB1. Meanwhile, Alabama head coach and Kalen DeBoer are focused on one thing and one thing only: actually playing good football.
