4-star offensive lineman Jatori Williams from Central Phenix City is back on the market after decommitting from Miami on Tuesday.
Williams was one of Alabama's early commitments in the 2027 cycle, pledging to the Crimson Tide last September. He decommitted and reopened his recruitment in December, ultimately committing to Miami in May.
But Williams is looking around again. Shortly after his decommitment was announced, Hayes Fawcett reported that the 4-star Alabama native had four schools on his mind with plans to visit each one before making his final decision: Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, and Florida State.
NEW: Recent Miami decommit Jatori Williams tells me for @Rivals that these 4 schools are standing out in his recruitment

But while Alabama is among the four schools "standing out" to Williams, his final decision appears to be further along than he is publicly letting on. Shortly before Fawcett tweeted that out, On3/Rivals insiders Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons logged expert predictions for Williams to land at Auburn, per the Rivals RPM.
Jatori Williams is already trending toward Auburn despite reported Alabama interest
Auburn being out in front here isn't much of a surprise. He took a visit for a game on the Plains last month, and they figured to be the team out in front if he reopened his recruitment.
That doesn't mean his recruitment is set in stone, however. Williams has been prone to changing his mind, and quickly, having already committed and decommitted from two programs in the last year.
If he does end up taking visits, then it's anybody's guess as to what could happen. But there has been little to no contact between the Alabama staff and the Phenix City native since he backed off his pledge to the Crimson Tide last December.
Alabama only has one commitment from an offensive lineman in the 2027 class so far, so they would surely welcome someone of Williams' status if he was genuinely interested and this list of schools wasn't for show, as it appears to be.
But the offensive line wasn't a high priority for Alabama in this cycle after signing 11 between the 2026 high school class and the Transfer Portal last year, all of whom have at least one additional season of eligibility if they wanted.
The early signing period is just two months away, and Kalen DeBoer and his staff are putting the final touches on the 2027 class. They've got several prospects they are pushing for in hopes of adding a handful of guys in the next few weeks.
I wouldn't expect Williams to be one of them.
