This is definitely not something we saw coming. Indiana's defensive coordinator Bryant Haines having serious beef with Ty Simpson and going after the Alabama faithful? Sure, why the heck not, we guess. In case you missed it, Simpson hopped on a podcast recently and discussed the loss to the Hoosiers.

In the clip you'll see below, which infuriated Haines, the stud quarterback said Alabama knew what Indiana was going to do on defense, but he gave the Hoosiers credit for being so well coached and also being incredibly disciplined. It felt like Simpson was giving the reigning national champs credit, but Haines indeed saw things a bit differently.

Bryant Haines has Alabama fans livid with his recent social media posts

Sheesh, tell us how you really feel, Bryant. Again, we really took this as Simpson giving Indiana a compliment for how they were able to prevent Alabama from getting into any kind of a rhythm on offense in Pasadena this past winter.

We all saw how things turned out in that game, with Indiana barely breaking a sweat in taking down the Crimson Tide. The Hoosiers then went on to win it all, getting the job done late against Miami for Curt Cignetti and Fernando Mendoza to make history. Maybe Haines should have a smile on his face over that instead of calling out Bama supporters?

Yeah, that message was a bit over the top if you ask us, but Haines has made it pretty dang clear he doesn't care what people think about him or Indiana. As you probably could have guessed, the replies to that post from Haines are filled with people calling him out a bit and understandably so.

We don't expect Simpson to respond to this, as he's more focused on the upcoming NFL Draft. After waiting his turn to take over the Alabama offense, the veteran QB was fantastic with the ball in his hands and he's now expected to be taken in the first round of the NFL Draft. Should that happen, we don't expect Haines to send him any kind of love. If anything, Haines has made himself an Alabama enemy moving forward.
