The amount of talent Nick Saban set to the NFL during his time at Alabama football is well-documented. The Crimson Tide could make an argument that they are the best at numerous NFL positions, but none are more obvious than the running back position after an insane 2024 season.

This stat shared by Deeg Sports on X proves it:

Alabama had two running backs finish in the Top 5 in rushing yards, three of the top six, and four guys who eclipsed 1000 rushing yards this season.

Derrick Henry led the way with 1921 rushing yards, which finished second in the NFL behind Saquon Barkley. For Henry, he broke the record for most rushing yards in a single season by a player 30 or over. He also became the first player in NFL history to have two seasons with 1900+ rushing yards.

Jahmyr Gibbs led the NFL with 20 total touchdowns and finished fifth in rushing with 1412 yards despite having 50 fewer carries than any other player in the Top 5.

Josh Jacobs finished just outside the top-5 at No. 6 in rushing in his first season with the Packers. Jacobs rushed for 1329 yards.

Najee Harris eclipsed 1000 yards for the fourth straight season with 1043 yards in what could be his final season in Pittsburgh as the Steelers bafflingly declined his fifth-year option despite the fact that he has been one of the most productive and consistent backs in the NFL during his time in Pittsburgh.

Former Alabama players led the NFL with a combined 7055 rushing yards. Alabama also led the way in receiving yards, interceptions, and tackles. On Friday, three former Alabama defensive backs were named to the All-Pro 1st team.

Alabama is not simply just RBU. They are NFLU.
