Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe will have all eyes on him at this week's NFL Combine. After an up-and-down performance at the Senior Bowl that followed an up-and-down redshirt junior season with the Crimson Tide, Milroe will look to get his draft stock trending in the right direction this week.

High-profile Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders has already announced he will not throw at the combine and Miami (FL) QB Cam Ward is still undecided. Both of those players are projected Top 10 picks in the 2025 NFL Draft so they have the luxury of skipping the on-field workouts.

Milroe does not. He has seen his draft stock plummet since the Senior Bowl. Most experts expect him to be a second round pick in April's draft, but in a weak QB class there's still time for him to make up some ground and end up in the 1st round.

According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Milroe will throw at the combine later this week.

The NFL Combine will be an important week for Jalen Milroe

No prospect in this draft class is as divisive as Milroe. He has supporters who believe he could be a future NFL star and others who don't believe he has any future at the next level as a QB. He is one of the top athletes in this class and will likely produce some eye-popping testing numbers.

But being an exceptional athlete isn't good enough. Everyone at the next level is an exceptional athlete. He'll have to prove that he can make all the throws, or at least show that he has the potential to be developed as a passer.

Milroe's best option is likely being selected by a team that is comfortable allowing him to sit as a backup for a year or two. If a team drafts him and expects him to start right away, that'll likely lead to disastrous results.

Milroe should arrive in Indianapolis for the combine on Tuesday, February 25th. The first few days will be physical exams and interviews, and then on Saturday, March 1st, quarterbacks are scheduled for on-field workouts.
