As the Penn State Nittany Lions search high and low to find their replacement for former head coach James Franklin, none other than Kalen DeBoer's name has come up as a possible candidate.
Barstool Sports producer and Nittany Lion fan Connor Griffin recently said that DeBoer was his dream replacement for Franklin. Immediately causing the hackles of every Alabama fan across the country to go up.
DeBoer, who took over the Crimson Tide just two years ago, has been one of the most renowned and coveted head coaches in the country, but Alabama fans shouldn't worry about their head coach jumping ship quite yet.
Kalen DeBoer is staying in Tuscaloosa
Like I said, DeBoer quite literally just took over the program in T-Town. Sure, he only stuck around at Washington for two years, but this is the Alabama Crimson Tide, not just the Washington Huskies.
Why would DeBoer leave the winningest program since the turn of the century, a team that is currently ranked No. 10 in the country, for a team that hasn't won a conference title in nearly a decade and hasn't won a National Championship in nearly four?
DeBoer isn't giving up control of Alabama, not anytime soon, especially as he and the Tide fly toward a berth in the College Football Playoffs (DeBoer's first appearance in the CFP since losing to the Michigan Wolverines while still coaching the Huskies).

As of now, Franklin is taking over the Virginia Tech program, and while he's poaching players and staff members, the Nittany Lions need to do a little work of their own. In other words, they need to find their next head coach for the Penn State football program.
Now, it won't be DeBoer, but there is a massive list of other potential candidates. So, the Crimson Tide can return to its seats and relax for the time being.
