In a video released by Alabama Football on X, Kalen DeBoer's halftime message to his team during the LSU game has been revealed.

Alabama fans have wanted to see the fire out of DeBoer all season, something that has started to peak through the surface in recent weeks. Perhaps it isn't a coincidence that the Crimson Tide has played back-to-back complete games in throttling Missouri and LSU once we started to see more emotion from the head coach.

DeBoer is still learning on the job in his first year at Alabama and just his fourth season as a power-four head coach. He learned against Georgia you can't take your foot off the gas no matter the lead. The Tide led that game 30-7 at halftime and ultimatley had to come from behind in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.

Up 21-6 on LSU at halftime in Baton Rouge, it was clear by DeBoer's message that he had learned his lesson.

"We talk about being relentless," said DeBoer. Relentless for four quarters. Not two. Four quarters. Do not step on that field unless you are ready to start fast, get after them, be physical. Apply pressure every single play. Every single play until they quit."

The nine-minute video posted to X is the cinematic game video for the LSU game. If you want to hear DeBoer's speech, it starts at around the 5:20 mark.

Applying pressure until the opponent quits is straight out of the Nick Saban playbook. Saban's motto was to dominate the guy you are playing against and make their, erm, behinds quit.

DeBoer is starting to get it. He's beginning to understand what it takes to win at Alabama. Despite the two losses, Alabama appears to be hitting its stride at the right moment and looks every bit like the national title contender we thought they were in the preseason.
