Who will end up being the Alabama football starting quarterback next season? It's an open battle, but a lot of people are ready to see what 5-star quarterback Keelon Russell is made of with spring ball getting here soon.

Russell, a 2025 signee, graduated from his school early and is enrolled at Alabama. It's a transition that isn't easy for any freshman, let alone someone who has arrived in town a semester early. So, how are things going so far for the youngster?

They couldn't be going better. Just ask Russell's mom about that. The QB's mother indeed took to social media to say that she's been blown away with how tremendous things have been on campus for her boy. She can rest easy knowing Kalen DeBoer and Co. are taking care of the signal-caller in the best way possible:

Things appear to be going perfectly for Keelon Russell at Alabama

That's the kind of praise DeBoer and everyone else at Alabama must have been wanting to see. If you're a parent reading this article, we know that dropping off your kid for college is such a bittersweet moment. It's tough saying goodbye, but you also know this is a major step for your loved one's future.

Russell's mom surely was feeling the same way when saying goodbye to the QB ahead of this next step of his football career. However, it looks like everyone at school has been doing a great job of keeping her in the loop and making sure it's been a memorable experience already for the elite prospect.

Russell signed with DeBoer and the Crimson Tide as the No. 2 ranked quarterback and No. 2 prospect nationally according to the 247Sports Composite. He chose Alabama over SMU, Ole Miss, Florida, Oregon, UCLA and many others.

With so much hype surrounding his name, Russell appears to have a legitimate shot to start as QB1 in 2025. First, spring camp will take place and he'll have his first chance to throw against a defense at the next level. He'll work overtime studying the offense too. It won't be easy for him, but if all goes to plan, Russell could end up being a superstar for the SEC powerhouse before we know it.
