Alabama overcame a double-digit halftime deficit to snap a five-game losing streak to Tennessee with a 71-69 road win in Knoxville. And they did it thanks to clutch buckets down the stretch from star guard Labaron Philon, who returned to action after missing Alabama's midweek win over Mississippi State with an injury, coming off the bench to score 23 points in the Crimson Tide's win.
Philon has that "it" factor that you look for in the clutch. He's got the killer instinct that it takes in those moments. And it was on full display against the Vols in a hostile environment.
With the game tied at 69, the ball was in Philon's hands with under 30 seconds to play. And Tennessee made a fatal mistake. Off a screen, Tennessee switched big-man JP Estrella onto Philon.
Philon knew in that moment it was over and started shaking his head.

He then broke Estrella down off the dribble, worked his way into the lane, and hit a turnaround mid-range jumper to give Alabama its first lead of the game at 71-69 with 22.8 seconds to play:

Labaron Philon punished the Tennessee switch to hit the game-winner for Alabama
Philon was clearly not 100% for this game. That's why Nate Oats chose to bring him off the bench, rolling with the same starting lineup from Alabama's Wednesday night win over Mississippi State.
Philon played just 28 minutes, which is under his season average. In big matchups, he's typically going to play 35+. But he gave the Crimson Tide what he could give them in Knoxville on Saturday night, and it was enough.
He scored 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting, which was second on the team behind Latrell Wrightsell's 25. But when the game was on the line, there was never a doubt that the ball was going to be in Philon's hands.
And there was never a doubt once he got Estrella on the switch that he was going to cook him.
