In a practice on Sunday night, former Alabama All-American Landon Dickerson went down with a knee injury, one that left most fans of the Philadelphia Eagles expecting the worst. But Dickerson avoided the worst of the injury, and after undergoing a minor procedure this week, he's considered week-to-week with hopes that he will be back in time for Philly's season opener against the Cowboys on September 4th.
Dickerson isn't letting the minor setback get his spirits down. Not only is he a great player, but he also brings a big personality to the table. He's a fun-loving character who has never taken himself too seriously. He's also as tough as it gets.
Just a couple of days post-surgery, Dickerson showed up to Eagles practice on Thursday. And he didn't come empty-handed. He showed up with a cooler full of Miller Lite and handed out some cold beers to his fellow offensive linemen for both the Eagles and the Browns:

Dickerson was always a fan-favorite during his time at Alabama
Dickerson was an excellent college football player, something that has carried over to the NFL. After transferring to Alabama from Florida State, Dickerson was a two-year starter for the Crimson Tide. He played guard as a junior before shifting over to center for his senior season, where he was named a Unanimous All-American and won the Rimington Award as the nation's top center. He helped key a dominant Crimson Tide offensive line that helped Alabama go 13-0 and win the National Championship.
Dickerson's dominant play and his fun-loving style made him a fan-favorite in Tuscaloosa. No Alabama fan is surprised he would show up to practice and hand out beers. I mean, the man had a railroad tie as the bumper of his truck for goodness' sake.
Dickerson produced one of the most iconic moments in recent Alabama football history, too. During Alabama's National Championship run in 2020, the Tide center tore his ACL during the SEC Championship win over Florida, prematurely ending his senior season. He missed the College Football Playoff, but when Alabama was lining up in victory formation for the final couple of snaps, Dickerson lobbied Nick Saban to get into the game to snap the ball. It doesn't get much better than this:
And then, of course, in typical Dickerson fashion, less than four months after his surgery, Dickerson was doing cartwheels at Alabama's Pro Day while Mac Jones was being interviewed. Because of course he was:
