For those of you who are chronically online - or just a big fan of The Onion - you probably recognize this satirical headline:
Heartbreaking: The Worst Person You Know Just Made A Great Point
That's exactly how it felt to listen to Tim Brando's rant about petulant child and former Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin, who has done everything he can to burn down any and all relationships he built during his time in Oxford as the Ole Miss head coach.
Kiffin ditched Ole Miss for LSU while the Rebels were preparing for the College Football Playoff. Anyone who fooled themselves into thinking Kiffin had somehow changed was only fooling themselves. He is, as he always has been, a narcissist.
His recent comments to Vanity Fair about diversity and issues with recruiting black players at Ole Miss were finally a step too far for Brando, a Louisiana native who has always held the Bengal Tigers near and dear to his heart.
Tim Brando eviscerates Lane Kiffin with epic rant about the LSU head coach
You know you took it too far when, as the head coach of LSU, you are being scolded to this level by Brando.
You also know you took it too far when you have Alabama fans AGREEING with Brando.

"This was an example of Lane's narcissism still being so great that he decided, through a publication based in New York that has liberal tendencies, to utilize it solely for his justification for abandoning a team that was on the precipice of playing for, and maybe even winning, a national championship so much so that he decided to not just throw a state under the bus, not just throw a region of the country that he represents as an SEC coach under the bus, but a school that without their presence in his career would not have gotten him to where he is today," Brando said on WJOX.
"You know we maybe need to teach him yet again is that just because the decimal point on your check is where it is, it doesn't give you license to be this stupid. That's what that was. Stupid, arrogant, condescending, and everything you never want to see in a leader of men. And I've defended Lane many, many times, and Archie Manning is a dear friend of mine. I've never heard Archie speak ill of anyone in athletics, other than Lane Kiffin. I guess there's a reason for it."
Woof.
That's about as scathing of a review of a coach - and a man - as you'll ever hear. I'm not one who will often side with Brando, but he's not wrong here.
It is a little amusing to see other people finally coming to the realization of who Kiffin is, though. This isn't new. Alabama fans have known it for a long time now, even if a non-insignificant portion of the fanbase was hoping he might be the replacement for Nick Saban in Tuscaloosa.
Luckily, the Board of Trustees at Alabama was never going to allow that to happen.
Now, Kiffin may be the biggest villain in college football. Outside of Baton Rouge, he'll be lucky to find a friendly face anywhere. He's burned every bridge he's ever crossed. It's only a matter of time before the same thing happens at LSU.
