The Dallas Cowboys selected Alabama OG Tyler Booker with the No. 12 pick in the NFL Draft. It was a pick that was met with mostly approval from Cowboys fans as the team looks to rebuild its offensive line. They needed to replace former All-Pro guard Zack Martin, who retired last month. Booker will bring a mean streak to Dallas with him.

Not everyone was happy with the pick, though. Cowboys star LB Micah Parsons was on a live NFL Draft show for Bleacher Report and appeared puzzled at his team's choice:

Parsons had a stunned look on his face when Booker's pick was announced. The selection appeared to catch Parsons off guard. He had expressed disappointment earlier in the broadcast that the Panthers had selected Arizona WR Tetairoa McMillan, a player Parsons hoped would be coming to Dallas to pair with CeeDee Lamb.

Following a moment of disbelief, Parsons seemed to catch himself and realized he was live on video. He went on to say that he "was excited for the pick" and called Booker a "beast." But it's hard to look past his initial reaction.

Parsons clarified that his reaction was because he was hoping the Cowboys would draft a defensive player, but that doesn't exactly track with how he reacted when Carolina drafted McMillan.

It won't take Tyler Booker long to win over Micah Parsons, any other doubters

It's understandable to be puzzled when your team takes a non-premium position like guard at No. 12 overall. You are banking on that player turning into a star at his position. That's exactly what Booker is prepared to do.

Booker is one of the younger players in this draft class. He turned 21 just a couple of weeks ago. He was a three-year starter at Alabama, and in 970 pass blocking snaps, he allowed only one sack. That sound you hear in the background is a hearty "hallelujah" from Dak Prescott.

Booker plays with a mean streak. He's spoken of making people not love the game of football anymore when they go against him and has called the game "legal assault." That's exactly the kind of player you want on your side, particularly on an offensive line.

Booker will have big shoes to fill as Martin was an all-time great for Dallas. He'll keep getting better and be a plug-and-play starter for the Cowboys next year and if he reaches his ceiling, Dallas drafted a future All Pro who will make Parsons look silly for his initial reaction.
