Missouri was definitely the game Alabama needed going into November. This was the most complete game this team has played all season and considering all the mayhem last week after the Tennessee loss, you have to like this team's response. Even against a banged up Missouri team the defense pitched a shut out and in today's game it is tougher than ever to do so.

The late hold on the goal line and the excitement from Kane Wommack on down showed how important that was to this defensive unit. They are getting better by the week and I expect November to be the best month for this unit that has been under fire for a majority of the season.

The offense showed signs of what they can be with over 270 yards on the ground and no turnovers. The first half wasn't the prettiest but it was nice to see adjustments made to start the second half and 21 points being scored as a result of them.

There were a few errant throws from Jalen Milroe, but the biggest thing is there were no turnovers and he wasn't as hesitant to run the ball. The message to him for the rest of the season has to be he doesn't have to put everything on his shoulders. He has enough talent around him and the biggest concern will be limiting turnovers.

For everything that was doom and gloom after the game in Knoxville, there is a glimmer of hope for this team to still make the 12 team playoff. The team that showed up against Mizzou can beat anyone and it is just a matter of consistently playing with that same effort.

The bye week comes at a perfect time for players looking to get heathy before the stretch run. It doesn't get bigger than the playoff elimination game in two weeks in Baton Rouge against LSU.
