Stop us if you've heard this before, but Diego Pavia is showcasing confidence that's tough to match. Vanderbilt is ranked No. 15 in the country and, for now, on the outside looking in for the College Football Playoff, That's of course not the case for No. 4 Alabama.

Alabama vs LSU final odds and a prediction for Week 11

The Tide took down Pavia and the Commodores earlier in the season, but the veteran QB is ready to face Bama once the CFP gets here. Wait, what? Yup, on College GameDay, the legendary Nick Saban revealed that Pavia told QB Ty Simpson 'we'll see you again' while they were shaking hands in Tuscaloosa following the final whistle. Yeah, not going to happen.

Diego Pavia has Alabama revenge on his mind but it's not going to happen

With the greatest of respect for Pavia and Vanderbilt, we don't think the Commodores are going to get the job done in terms of sneaking into the CFP. At 7-2 on the year, we're predicting Vandy to take down Auburn this weekend and then Kentucky.

However, the regular season for Pavia and Co. will end with a late November trip to Knoxville to take on the Tennessee Vols at Neyland Stadium. While the Vols are out of the CFP hunt, Josh Heupel and Tennessee are still hoping to finish the year 9-3.

Plus, you know Joey Aguilar and his teammates would love nothing more than to end Vandy's season by handing the Commodores a loss and crushing their CFP hopes. It's early, but we're predicting Tennessee to take care of business against its in-state rival.

Should that happen, Pavia will join the rest of us in watching the College Football Playoff from home. Again, we admire this guy's confidence, but if he's still dreaming about getting some revenge on Bama, then he should focus his time elsewhere.

As for the Tide, Vandy is the last thing they're worried about, as Kalen DeBoer has countless people across the country dreaming that Alabama can push for a natty this winter. With how great Simpson has looked, this program sure has a great shot to make a ton of noise later this year.
