The College GameDay crew had some fun this morning to promote "Wrestlepalooza" on the new ESPN app. Instead of just picking football games at the end of the show like normal, the GameDay crew picked the Main Event of Wrestlepalooza - John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar.

Pat McAfee, who crosses over into some WWE announcing here and there, picked Brock Lesnar to win the match. Nick Saban hit McAfee with a classic GameDay line, mixed in with some WWE flair.

Saban dropped a Lee Corso special: "Not so fast, my friend!" and then did the John Cena signature "you can't see me" equipped with the hand wave in front of his face. Now, we've truly seen everything:

Who knew Nick Saban was a WWE fan?

That wouldn't have been on my bingo card. Maybe Saban has gotten into WWE since his retirement - he certainly has a lot more free time on his hands.

Also, we're in the final year of John Cena's legendary wrestling career. Some would argue that Cena is the GOAT of wrestling, which gives him something in common with Saban, considering the former Alabama legend is widely considered the GOAT of college football.

Saban can only wish he had reached the number of championships Cena did, however. Saban is a 7-time National Champion. At WrestleMania last year, Cena won his 17th WWE Championship by defeating Cody Rhodes.

Saban's seven is still a college football record, surpassing the six won by another Alabama legend, Paul "Bear" Bryant. Rival fans are fortunate it wasn't more than seven, too. Along with the six titles Saban won at Alabama, the Crimson Tide played in three other title games. He could have easily gotten into double digits of total title wins.

I wouldn't expect GameDay to continue wrestling picks, but it was a fun little wrinkle this Saturday morning. Saban continues to look like he's having the time of his life on the set, showing the lighter, humorous side of himself that Alabama fans have always known was there, running in direct contrast to the grouchy, dictatorial personality rival fans swore was the real him.
