Ohio State superstar wide receiver, Jeremiah Smith has his sights set on a different shade of red than Buckeyes safety Caleb Downs in regards to who he wants to face out of Alabama & Indiana following the Rose Bowl in the Semifinals of the College Football Playoff.

The former Alabama defensive back made waves last week when Downs picked the Tide to upset the Hoosiers in Pasadena on Thursday, setting the table for a potential matchup against Alabama in the National Championship Game in Miami. For Smith, he has his sights set on a rematch against Indiana instead.

Smith's request comes weeks after he and his defending national champion Buckeyes suffered their first loss of the season to the Hoosiers in the Big 10 Championship. The sophomore wide out didn't hold back, making his dream rematch known while speaking to reporters on Monday in Dallas at AT&T Stadium during Ohio State's media viewings ahead of their Cotton Bowl matchup against Miami.

"We'll see Indiana again," Smith said.

Jeremiah Smith clearly believes Indiana is going to beat Alabama

There's not much ambugity in Smith's words. The only way for Ohio State to have a chance at a get-back against Indiana is if the Hoosiers knock off Alabama at the Rose Bowl.

Of course, the star WR may be getting a bit ahead of himself. There are two wins separating the Buckeyes and a potential rematch against the Hoosiers. Indiana has to get through Alabama and the winner of Texas Tech and Oregon, while Ohio State has Miami and then either Georgia or Ole Miss standing in its path to a second straight National Championship Game.

Alabama will have its chance to burst Smith's bubble when the Tide kicks off against Indiana in the Rose Bowl on Thursday at 3 PM, CT on ABC.
