Alabama's 1990s NCAA Tournament history was from 1990 to 1995. In 1993 and 1996-1999, Alabama failed to make the Big Dance. The Tide's record for the decade was 7-4.
The best win was in the 1990 second round when the Crimson Tide beat 2-seed Arizona 77-55. The 1994 first-round win over Providence was also satisfying as somewhat of a payback for the 1987 loss. Former Alabama assistant Rick Barnes coached the Friars that season
The worst loss was a Sweet 16 contest in which Loyola-Marymount beat the Crimson Tide 62-60.
The 2000s began dismally for Alabama as the 1990s ended. The SEC Tournament ended Alabama's postseason in 2000, and 2001 was an NIT Tournament season.
In 2002-2006, Alabama posted a 5-5 NCAA Tournament record and did not make the Big Dance again until 2012.
Clearly, the best of the 2000s for the Alabama Crimson Tide was a 2004 Elite Eight appearance. Alabama beat Syracuse in the Sweet 16, 80-71.
Also clear was Alabama's worst of the decade. It was an 83-73 first-round loss to 12-seed Wisconsin-Milwaukee, coached by Bruce Pearl.
