2025 Alabama Football schedule looks much like the 2024 schedule
By Ronald Evans
The only schedule difference in the Alabama Football schedule for the 2025 season is where the games will be played. The Crimson Tide's 2025 SEC opponents are the same ones Alabama will play in the 2024 season. All the Crimson Tide's 2024 SEC home games become away games in 2025, with same flip of 2024 away to 2025 home.
The Southeastern Conference chose to stay with an eight-game conference schedule for the 2025 season. SEC Commissioner, Greg Sankey explained the decision to stick with eight games, by saying, "We continue to monitor changes across college sports as they relate to future scheduling. Continuing with our current format for the 2025 season provides additional time to understand the impact of the changes happening around us as we determine the appropriate long-term plan for SEC football scheduling."
Though the SEC delayed a possible move to a 9-game conference schedule, much will change for the 2025 SEC football season. For the first time in many years, there will be no divisional play. At the end of the regular season, the top two teams in the standings will go to Atlanta to play for the SEC Championship.
There will also be changes of broadcast times for games. The SEC Network's early game will move from 11:00 AM CST to 11:45 AM CST. The afternoon TV slot will shift to 3:15 PM CST and the SEC Network's evening game will be aired at 6:45 PM CST. Games on ESPN/ABC will be at 11:00 AM CST, 2:30 PM CST, and 6:00 PM CST.
In the 2025 season, the Alabama Crimson Tide will make its first trip to Athens, GA since 2015. The other Alabama away games are Auburn, South Carolina, and Missouri.
Alabama Football will open the 2025 season in Tallahassee, against Florida State. The Crimson Tide's home games are Wisconsin, Louisiana-Monroe, Eastern Illinois, Oklahoma, LSU, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt.
SEC football fans will argue about which teams have the easiest 2025 schedules. To start the debate, Crimson Tide fans can point out that Auburn, Kentucky, LSU, and Missouri all get an advantage with road games in Nashville.
