Four-star linebacker Elijah Barnes out of Texas named the Alabama Football team as one of his finalists on March 1st. Barnes is ranked as the country's 15th-ranked linebacker and the 121st-ranked player in the country.
Working in Alabama's favor is the relationship Barnes built with new Alabama linebackers coach Christian Robinson from his time at Baylor. Robinson recently offered the Texas native and the interest seems real with Alabama and Barnes.

The third-ranked recruit in the 2025 class Elijah Griffin included Alabama in his top twelve as he approaches a decision. The new coaching staff visited Griffin a few weeks ago and there certainly remains some interest in the two sides despite the coaching turnover. Griffin currently appears leaning towards staying home and attending Georgia however, the staff will likely be in contact until Griffin signs his letter of intent giving Alabama a solid chance at landing the dominant tackle.
