Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Football team are hot on the recruiting trail as the spring recruiting window has re-opened. While the 2025 recruiting class is the top priority DeBoer and his staff continue to build their relationships with players in the 2026 recruiting class. Here are a few of the early names to watch in the 2026 recruiting class.

Jared Curtis - Quarterback - First ranked recruit

Before the retirement of Nick Saban Alabama was named as one of the final six teams in the running for the 2026 recruiting class's top player Jared Curtis. The talented quarterback was excited about the hiring of Ryan Grubb as the offensive coordinator however, now with the loss of Grubb it's unclear where the team will stand with Curtis. The star quarterback has yet to schedule a visit to Tuscaloosa to meet the new staff.

Amari Sabb - Athlete - Unranked

While Amari Sabb is currently an unranked recruit several of the top schools in the country have offers out with Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Oregon, and others all recruiting the New Jersey native. The Alabama Football program may have a leg up after landing Amari's brother Keon in the transfer portal. The Sabb family has a strong connection with Courtney Morgan who recruited Keon to Michigan and is now recruiting Amari and Xavier to Alabama as both Sabb brothers were offered by the new regime.

Amari will likely play either cornerback or wide receiver in college while it's too early to know which position he'll end up at. If everything plays out well for Keon at Alabama the recruiting staff will have an advantage in recruiting both Amari and Xavier.

Michael Ionata - Offensive Line

The brother of incoming Alabama freshman Joseph Ionata is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 recruiting cycle however, at this far out from signing day rankings are irrelevant. While Ionata is the "little brother" his size says otherwise at 6"6 290 pounds Ionata is a mountain. The Alabama Football team will have an advantage with Joseph on campus allowing for more unofficial visits than with other recruits.

Grant Wise - Offensive line

While Grant Wise is currently an unranked recruit he's still one of the most sought-after recruits on the interior offensive line. Wise holds offers from Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, Florida, and Ole Miss, and nearly twenty other schools. Wise was in Tuscaloosa as Spring Recruiting opened up receiving an offer from the new coaching staff. The Alabama Football team will lose valuable pieces on the interior like Tyler Booker, Parker Brailsford, and Jaeden Roberts over the next few years making the position one of importance.
