Alabama Basketball landed its first commitment of the 2025 recruiting cycle with four-star SF Amari Allen from Green Bay, Wisconsin pledging to Nate Oats on Tuesday.

Per the 247-composite rankings, Allen is ranked as the 98th best player in the country and a consensus four-star. Allen is a 6-foot-7, sharpshooting wing who projects as a guy who could be a secondary ball-handler at the next level. On the Adidas 3Stripes Select Basketball circuit this summer, Allen shot 41% from three-point range while averaging just a shade under 17 points-per-game. 247 listed him as one of the top performing wings during the event.

Allen is a threat to score on any area of the court, and is a willing passer and rebounder. You can watch his highlights from the 3SSB below:

Preston Murphy was the lead recruiter once again for the Crimson Tide as he continues to help reel-in big-time prospects.

Alabama missed out on Jasper Johnson last week as he decided to stay home with Kentucky, but it was only a matter of time until the Crimson Tide landed its first commitment of the '25 cycle. It will be a busy recruiting season for Oats as Alabama stands to have significant roster turnover once again after this season.

With seniors Mark Sears, Grant Nelson, Latrell Wrightsell, Chris Youngblood, and Clifford Omoruyi - not to mention several potential NBA early-entrants or transfers - Alabama is likely looking at taking a five-to-six man high school class as well as perusing the portal for top available talent.

The Tide has a ton of momentum on the recruiting trail coming off of last season's run to the Final Four and the high preseason expectatons for the 24-25 roster.
