Alabama Football adds former top 100 recruit via Transfer Portal
The Alabama Football team has made a massive addition via the transfer portal in former top-100 recruit King Mack. As a recruit, Mack was a four-star recruit in the 2023 recruiting class ranked as the 86th overall recruit and the 6th overall while as a transfer he ranks as the 57th ranked transfer and 4th ranked safety.
Mack appeared in 13 games as a true freshman recording three total tackles mostly on special teams.
The Alabama Football team has now revamped its secondary via the transfer portal after losing many key pieces in the Winter Transfer Window. The Alabama Football team now has two new transfer cornerbacks in Domani Jackson and DaShawn Jones while adding transfer safeties King Mack, Keon Sabb, and Kam Howard.
The incoming group of transfers will now give the Alabama Football team an experienced group of players in the secondary as Malachi Moore was the only returnee. This also provides time for the talented group of freshman corners to develop in the defense.
Kalen DeBoer and Kane Wommack faced a difficult challenge as a majority of the players in the secondary departed for the NFL Draft while the replacements left via the transfer portal. The coaching staff has brought in a group of transfers that could be one of the best secondaries in the country.
Massive success of a Spring for Alabama Football
The Alabama Football team only saw a few players enter the transfer portal this spring all of which were reserve players. While only losing reserves, the team brought in five players who will all likely start or play a massive role in 2024. Kalen DeBoer now seemingly has all the pieces in place for his first season in Tuscaloosa and the roster has enough talent to repeat as SEC champions and return to the College Football Playoff.
